Steve Hafler - Teaching Pastor

Steve and his wife, Toni, have been blessed with 6 children: Emilee, Stephanie, Joshua, Annabelle, Micah and Isaiah.  After serving the Lord in Africa with his family for twelve years Steve became the teaching pastor of Highlands in 2010. He leads the church in its mission to honor God by making and maturing disciples on the Front Range of Colorado and to the remotest parts of the earth. Biblical preaching and teaching comprise the focus of his ministry along with personal discipleship and pastoral care for church members.

A Favorite Pastime:

Steve enjoys the outdoors.  He's had the privilege of hiking mountains in Kenya, swimming in the Indian ocean off the coast of Mombasa, tigerfishing and hunting in Zambia, flying over the Sudd and Nile river in Sudan, and mountain biking and hunting in Colorado.  He also enjoys reading, writing, travel, and photography.

Shaun Walker - Associate Pastor

W_Fam1.jpgAfter earning a B.A. in Bible Shaun began serving at Highlands as a pastoral intern in 2001.  He  married Shannon in 2003 and entered the role of assistant pastor. A few years later Shaun earned an M.A. in Biblical Studies. God has blessed Shaun and Shannon with three children: Naomi, Esther, and Ethan.

A Favorite Pastime:

Shaun enjoys hiking, camping, and backpacking in the beautiful Colorado wilderness.  These activities are even better when he gets to enjoy them with his family.  You will often find Shaun reading, listening to sermons, and learning something new.


Eric Allamon – Youth and Children's Pastor


Eric married his wife, Cassie, in 2009.  It was during graduate studies that Eric accepted the invitation to serve as the Youth and Children's Pastor at Highlands.  Eric and Cassie began serving in May of 2011.  In 2013 God blessed them with their first child, a son named Carter.
